Terms and Conditions
Kate Bowsher Dog Training aims to run classes in a professional way that is safe and enjoyable for all. The welfare of all attending is paramount and for this reason some dogs will be unsuitable for class-based learning. Dogs with certain behaviour problems will be made worse, not better in a group class environment and they will also hinder the learning and progression of others. If you are at all concerned as to whether your dog is suitable please contact Kate on 07585 771121 before booking a place. Please be assured that Kate is able to offer help for all dogs, but this may not be in a class situation. In order to maintain our high standards and ensure you get the best from the classes, Kate Bowsher Dog Training has the following Terms and Conditions:
• Your dog must be comfortable in close proximity to other dogs and people in what can sometimes be a challenging and lively environment. Dogs that are, or may be, aggressive to people or other dogs will not be accepted. Dogs displaying anti-social behaviour problems such as excessive barking will also not be accepted.
• In the event that your dog is deemed unsuitable for a class situation once the course has started, you will be asked to remove your dog. You will still be able to attend the remainder of the course/workshop without your dog to enable you to implement the training at home. Should you decide not to, no refunds can be given.
• Bitches in season can normally be accommodated but please contact us before attending so that we can confirm this. Alternatively, you are encouraged to attend the course/workshop yourself without your dog so that do not miss any of the course content. If you decide not to attend, the course fee is not refundable or transferable.
• Dogs suffering from any contagious illness, including kennel cough, must not attend classes until cleared by your vet. In the event of this happening you are encouraged to attend the course yourself, without your dog, so that do not miss any of the course content. If you decide not to attend, the course fee is not refundable or transferrable.
• Please notify Kate of any underlying medical or dietary conditions that may affect your dog’s participation.
• All dogs must be fully vaccinated. Puppies attending the Puppy Course may attend one week after their first vaccination as long as their vet is in agreement. The disease risk varies all the time, so it is vital that you have this confirmed by your vet before booking.
• Cancellations: courses are non-refundable and non-transferable unless Kate receives a minimum of fourteen days written notice prior to the course start date (email info@kbdogtraining.co.uk). Cancellations/transfers before this time will incur a £20 administration fee. Sadly our expenses are not reduced due to your non attendance; we still have staff, hall hire, insurance, administration and transaction fees regardless. Therefore, we regret no refunds can be considered if your course has started or is shortly due to commence. Please note that we also cannot consider that you ‘postpone to a later course’, as we are not able to offer your place to anyone else once a course has started. If you wish to take another place on a future course, you will need to register and pay again.
In the event that we have to cancel the course, credit will be held for use on any of our offered services which must be used within one year of cancellation. Alternatively you may request a full refund at the time of cancellation. Unfortunately credit cannot be refunded if not used within the year.
• Due to the active nature of dog training we ask that you pay due care and attention to your own safety and that of others at all times. You are responsible for your dog and its actions. Dogs must remain on lead at all times unless instructed otherwise. Kate Bowsher Dog Training and any persons acting on its behalf accept no liability for accident, injury, illness, damage or loss affecting any persons, dogs or property while at the classes. Attendance at a class signifies acceptance of these terms and those above.
